Reiki for Children (ages 6-15)

Children and Reiki

Children are meant for Reiki. They acquire their skills much quicker than adults, they do not judge or worry about exact hand placements, they seem to have a built-in ability to know where and when Reiki is needed and in just the right amount. Reiki is a safe natural method of healing for children that has been utilized quite successfully.

Children that are interested in Reiki between the ages of 6 to 15 are ready to learn it. No one should be forced to learn or practice Reiki if there is no interest or desire, but those that are interested will focus intently and learn quickly. Children trained in Reiki can use it on themselves daily to encourage their own well-being. They can also share Reiki with others in the family. This can give them a sense of contributing or being a part of the family unit. It can also give them something constructive to do

when a family member is ill, relieving any feelings of helplessness in these circumstances. Practitioners have been reporting positive results using Reiki with behavior problems such as ADD or ADHD for quite a long time.

Half hour: $35

Hour: $65

Hour and a half: $95

For children, the session can be done privately or in the presence of a parent or guardian

Workshops

Children's Workshop ($80)

The workshop is done in a child friendly environment, and parents are welcome to stay in a helping capacity. Children should wear comfortable clothes because there is some creative physical play and work that is done.  The workshop includes a simple history of Reiki, an explanation of Reiki, an explanation of the energy fields (chakras, aura, etc.), how to sense energy, how to use Reiki and the receiving of a Reiki attunement.
